Delete your Floorspace account

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Account deletion is currently handled manually by Floorspace support. You can request it here without installing or signing into the app. There is no charge.

Email an account deletion request

If the button does not open your email app, email support@floorspace.dev with the subject Floorspace account deletion request.

What to include

Send the request from your registered email address where possible. Include your account email, shop or business name if applicable, and whether you want to delete your individual login or the entire Shop or Solo account. Do not send your password, payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents. If you cannot access your registered email, contact support so we can arrange an alternative verification method.

What happens next

  1. We verify that you own the account and, for a whole-shop deletion, have authority to close it.
  2. We confirm the scope, explain the consequences and any data that must be retained, and ask for confirmation where needed to prevent accidental deletion.
  3. We aim to complete routine deletion within seven days of verification and confirmation. We respond without undue delay and normally within one calendar month of receiving your request. If a lawful extension is necessary, we explain why and when to expect completion.
  4. We email you when deletion is complete, explaining any limited retention and backup handling.

There is no compulsory 14-day cooling-off period. You can withdraw your request before deletion is completed by contacting support. Once deleted, your account cannot be restored.

What we delete

For your individual login, we delete its authentication account, profile, membership/access records and identifiable usage and save-tracking records. Account-owned files and other personal data are also removed where applicable.

For an authorised deletion of an entire Shop or Solo account, we also remove that account's hosted job records, customer details, plans, quotes and uploaded files, except for specifically justified retention explained to you. We check linked staff and fitter access as part of the process.

Deleting one staff member's login does not automatically delete a shop's shared business records or other people's accounts. A shop may need to retain business records independently; we remove unnecessary personal links and explain the handling of shared records. If your concern is personal data in a shop's jobs rather than your own login, contact support and the shop so your request can be assessed.

What may be retained

We retain only the limited information needed for legal obligations, security or legal claims, where there is a valid reason. This may include legally required financial records if paid services have been used. We explain the categories, reason and retention period in our response.

A minimal record of the deletion request and completion may be kept for up to 12 months to demonstrate that we handled it. This is not a copy of your jobs, account profile or usage history. Any longer retention requires a specific legal or dispute-related reason.

If existing disaster-recovery backups contain deleted data that cannot be removed immediately, the data is put beyond operational use and expires through backup rotation. We explain the applicable expiry in our response. Backups are not used to restore your deleted account if you return. If a backup is restored for disaster recovery, completed deletions must be reapplied before restored data returns to service.

Google's Firebase services can have additional provider-side retention: Crashlytics retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal, and Authentication data can take up to 180 days to be removed from provider live and backup systems after user deletion is initiated. Cloud Messaging installation identifiers have a documented removal period of up to 180 days after the relevant installation-deletion API call. These periods do not mean your Floorspace login stays usable. See the privacy policy for details.

Before closing a business account

Save any permitted copies you need before confirming permanent deletion. Copies already exported to your devices or lawfully held by other businesses are not automatically removed by deleting the hosted account. We assess whether recipients need to be notified of an erasure request.

If you have a paid subscription, contact support about cancellation and any remaining billing at the same time. Closing an account should not leave you being charged for future service; store-managed subscriptions may require cancellation through the relevant store.
